Good to know
The three questions we get asked most
When do I have to register?
Once your taxable turnover passes £90,000 in any rolling twelve months — or sooner, if you expect to cross it in the next thirty days. We monitor it for bookkeeping clients.
Is flat rate worth it?
Sometimes, for service businesses with few costs. For most trades buying materials it is not. We run both numbers before you decide.
Do I still file quarterly under MTD?
Yes. VAT has been digital since 2019, so if you are registered you are already filing this way. MTD for Income Tax is the separate change coming from April 2026.
Registration threshold: £90,000 rolling turnover.
Records must be kept digitally and for six years.
